CEDRUS ATLANTICA GLAUCA - Blue Atlas Cedar

The steel blue foliage on this superb evergreen conifer makes it a stand out specimen tree wherever it is planted. The pyramidal shape that is has when young eventually fades as it broadens and gains a flatter top. A native to the Atlas mountains of north Africa.

General Care

Best kept in full sun, but protect from extremes of temperatures, keep soil moist throughout summer but on the dry side during cold winters as they dislike wet soils over prolonged periods, feed little and often, repot as needed using a well-draining mix, but be aware they don’t like root disturbance, often shedding the previous year’s needles, spraying the foliage each day following the repot can help reduce this, new buds and needles will form, they can be head strong and require constant trimming of growth tips of the apex.
