WBFF World Bonsai Photo Contest 2012/2013
Grand Winner: will receive “Saburo Kato Memorial Bonsai Trophy”

Requirements for entry:

This contest is open to all bonsai artists all over the world, including Japan.

1.        Photo can be bonsai of any species and styles.

Provide the name of the tree (in Latin, English and or local name), the height and   length of the training period (please complete attached entry form).

2.        Photo should not be older than 24 months

The tree must be in the same style and appearance for  the period of the contest.

3.        Photo must be in digital JPG format, resolution 72 or 300 dpi with a  minimum 500 KB.

Email in softcopy or mail in CD format. For higher resolution photos please use CD or preferably “mail big file.com”

4.        The photo should not be re-touched, with  no re-colouring or digital modification.

Use solid or plain background.

5.        Only one photo per contestant

Send photo to your respective region. Photos sent to a different region will be rejected.

Award and Recognition:

1. Grand Winner: will receive the “Saburo Kato Memorial Bonsai Trophy”
   
2. Honourable Mention Winners: will receive a “Best Entry Certificate”for those trees selected to represent the participating countries and WBFF regions.
   
3. The award will be presented at the World Bonsai Convention in China, 2013
   
4. All the winning photos will be exhibited during the conference.

Timetable:

Regional Selection Committee must receive photo by July 31st, 2012
Your regional selection committee is headed by Kath Hughes at kathwbff@gmail.com

WBFF Selection Committee will receive results of the selection by Regions no later than Nov.30th
The winning, “Best Entries” will be announced in March 2013

The Grand Winner will be announced at the World Bonsai Convention in China 2013

Other Conditions:

1. WBFF has copyrights to publish the winning photos in any WBFF media and printing without any compensation.
   
2. Jury’s decision is indisputable. No inquiry and or communication will be entertained.
   
3. Jury must have the right to inspect the tree
   
4. This contest is not eligible for all WBFF Board, WBFF Selection Committee and Regional Selection Committee members.
