Federation of British Bonsai Societies

Introduction

The Federation of British Bonsai Societies, 'The Federation', is the national representative body that acts on behalf of its members taken from UK bonsai societies, individual bonsai enthusiasts and bonsai traders.

The Federation of British Bonsai Societies board and committee are made up from volunteers elected by its membership at each Annual General Meeting.

The organisations key objective is to promote the art of bonsai nationally and to encourage wider participation.

The Federation also acts as a focal point for bonsai related issues on behalf of UK bonsai societies, it liases with international bonsai organisations, and establishes links with other interested groups.

To meet these objectives the Federation exhibits at shows and is represented at high profile events nationally and internationally. They also publicise bonsai widely through a variety of media principally websites and the bonsai press.

  • Organise the UK New Talent Contest.
  • Maintain links with the European Bonsai Association and the World Bonsai Friendship Federation.
